  1. I just found your tutorial on the Sony a6600, which I recently purchased. The intro video was great, and I hope to view and learn from the others. I’m really looking forward to your lens guide. However, I have to say this video is a bit disappointing. First of all, I’ve repeatedly received “cannot connect” messages when attempting to use the Imaging Edge Mobile app. It’s very frustrating. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve had to turn off either the camera or my phone, sometimes to no avail. However, my greatest concern with this video is the tone. Right from the beginning, you seem to be chastising users that have provided you feedback on their difficulties with the app. I lost count of how many times you said, “It’s really not that hard!” It’s as if your are saying, “It’s not rocket science, Stupid.” I’m a photography newbie, but not a tech newbie. Anyone who’s worked in IT support knows that you have to modify your instructions (and expectations) to the user’s level to help them understand. I think you might need some help with that. I realize that you may receive some sort of compensation from Sony, but it’s okay to admit that this app is deficient. I think you’re in a tough spot of having to sell something that needs improvement. I do appreciate learning that the app isn’t a true transfer app, but rather good for a quick share. It’s unfortunate that it’s not marketed that way by Sony. That was one of the “selling points” I considered when making my purchase. Anyway, I do appreciate your efforts. Best of luck.

    1. I apologize for my tone Kim. I have used this app for years with many different devices and barley ever have an issue. Occasionally I will need to turn the camera on and off, but other than that it works like a charm every time. However, for some people it just does not work and I have no idea why. I layed out exactly what I do and it should work. If it does not work, it must be a problem with the glitchy app and/or phones/ devices software being used. I did say in the video the app is finicky and does not work for some people. You might want to make sure your wifi at homes is not connected to avoid issues for example. All I can tell you is with my Samsung Galaxy S8, older S5, older iPad Mini and older iPhone before that, it works pretty darn good for transferring photos when out and about or when at home. I much prefer just using the memory card and transferring to my computer, but when in the field, I will use my phone and the app for quick shares. I’m really sorry you are having such a hard time, and you are not the only one. From my experience however, it pretty much always works…

I do greatly appreciate the feedback, and I am sorry if my tone made you upset, Jay
