In this review I will be covering the DJI Ronin RSC 2 Gimbal which goes for $499 US for the basic kit that I purchased, or you can go with the Pro kit which goes for $739 US at the time of this article.

The Pro kit comes with addition accessories like the RavenEye Image Transmission System, a focus motor, phone holder, two focus gears, three additional HDMI cables for use with the RavenEye, and a carrying case.

The stabilization gimbal if you are unaware is used to help steady the camera when recording video in a variety of environments. It really is incredible how awesome it works, and if you are recording video while walking with a camera like the A7C, I highly recommend considering a gimbal like this one.

The max payload for the RSC 2 is 6.6 pounds, so if you plan on using a heavier camera and lens combo than that, you would need to go for the larger more powerful and expensive Ronin RS 2 which can support up to 10 pounds.

I really hop you enjoy the video and please feel free to ask questions and comment below as always. In addition if you have this gimbal or a similar unit, I would love to hear your experience with it! I’m fairly new to using gimbals myself, so if you have tips I might have missed, please let me know! Jay

I love it and Highly recommend it!
At the end of the day the DJI Ronin RSC 2 Stabilization Gimbal is a great product. It has a tone of features and configurations to insure you will get great footage in a variety of conditions with the least amount of effort. That is really what it's all about. As a downside the gimbal battery does not come off, so if it goes dead, you are dead in the water. The big brother RS2 has a removable battery grip, so you can buy additional grips for that model, but not this model. In addition, with the Sony A7C the record button on the gimbal does not work when you try to take photos. DJI is aware, and it's related to the USB-C connection, but they are hopefully going to come out with firmware to fix this. For me this is really only an issue when it comes to the panoramic mode I wanted to use.

Pros
Awesome results
Very easy to use once balanced, and fairly easy to balance as well
Incredible feature set and configuration options
Pretty light weight considering other gimbal options
Cons
Battery is not interchangeable and does not come off the gimbal, so make sure it is fully charged before you head out for a shoot!
At the time of this article, the gimbal can't take photos with the Sony A7C. Waiting for a firmware update to fix and only effects panorama mode for my purposes, but still sucks to find out after purchase.
