New Gear on the Way to the Lab and Website Update!!

Hello everybody and welcome back! I finished up a busy month with a bunch of reviews that have been added to my YouTube Channel Here, and I have a lot of new equipment coming early next week. The full written reviews of all the gear I recently reviewed will be coming in time, but I am currently trying to get the website updated and I don’t want to complicate the process any more than necessary. The written reviews are extremely time consuming as you can imagine!

If all goes to plan, the new website will have a much better review area with proper rankings that are applicable to whatever I am reviewing. For example, lenses would have specific review criteria like sharpness, bokeh rendering, etc… and cameras would have a different set of review criteria like Image quality, Focus Speed, Build Quality, etc…

I am going to have to let the forums go unfortunately, because they are taxing the server and forcing me to use way more resources than I really need. The forums have also caused the website to get hacked a few times over the years due to security holes apparently. In addition I just don’t have the time to utilize the forums as I would have liked, and would rather focus my energy on creating quality content as apposed to maintaining a forum. I’m really sorry to those that have contributed to toe forums over the years, but it has pretty much died off for the most part.

The cost of updating the website is pretty significant due to the size and complexity, so I’m not sure how long the process will take in total, but I just wanted to keep you all informed on the matter. One thing you could do to help me out with the costs would be to use my links when shopping for stuff.

Just use these links on your way: Shopping @ BHPhoto (Click Here) or Amazon (Click Here) It’s that easy and zero cost http://canlisohbethatlari.online to you! It does not have to be photography gear!! I also have a Tip Jar (Click Here) if you would prefer a direct contribution link… Thank you so much for the consideration!!!

New Gear On the Way

For starters I have a lot of requests to test the Sony E 18-135mm OSS Kit Lens, so I got that with the Sony A6500 as a kit for $1598.. This lens is designed specifically for the crop factor APS-C cameras like the A6500, so it is not for the Full Frame E-Mount cameras like the A7 III for example, although it will work on those cameras in crop factor mode…

Prime Lenses:

Next I wanted to get a few prime lenses to review, because it’s been a while and I have had a few requests for various crop factor APS-C E-Mount primes specifically. I have been focusing on full frame gear for a while, so it’s time for a APS-C review cycle!!
The first prime I went with the super fast ultra wide angle Sigma 16mm f/1.4 DC DN Contemporary Lens which goes for $449.
